Life Coach Course

When choosing a Life Coach Course you want to look at the syllabus for the course content.   It is imperative the life coach course you choose has the following included:

Belief systems

Values – understanding how they impact our decisions

Habits – how they are formed and how to form new ones

Effective communication – what you say gives you away

Understanding people development – what drives our behaviour and how we change it

A life coach course needs to be delivered by facilitators that are fully qualified and experienced in coaching and have a successful client practice of their own.  With Positive Success Group you also get access to a team that are highly motivated, action orientated and results driven who are passionate about people development.

Positive Success Group deliver their life coach course to public and private sectors  and have achieved great success in enhancing peoples skills.  The life coach allows each individual develop their own authentic style of coaching through their model of knowing, doing and being.

What one of our students said:

“ The life coach course was one of the most stimulating courses I have ever done.  This is mostly due to the subject matter – there was a huge emphasis on the individual – it got me outside my comfort zone and enabled me  to become more self aware and more confident”   Deborah – HR

Life Coaching Courses – what you need to know.

In this Life Coaching Courses article we will look at :-

Who benefits from attending Life Coaching Courses?

What types of courses are available?

What type of course will suit my needs?

What can I expect to pay?

Who benefits from attending Life Coaching Courses?

Well to be honest everyone.  Considering that premise of Life Coaching is finding balance and confidence in living a fulfilled life – who doesn’t need that?

The people who benefit from attending Life Coaching Courses are,  Individuals who want to self coach,  Managers, Leaders, Trainers, Educators, Business owners, Self employed, Job Seekers, Business Start ups, Parents, Carers, Directors and anyone who is interested in living their best balanced life.

What types of courses are available?

Life Coaching courses in Ireland are everywhere you look.  I see them advertised in my local schools and VECs as part time evening courses.  I see them run out of lots of different venues from colleges to hotels and community centres.  I even know of one course that is run from the living room of the trainers home.

The shorter courses tend to be part time classes from 6 to 10 weeks – each class being about 2 and a half hours long – you may receive a certificate of attendance

You can do more intense short courses – 5 to 10 days and receive a Coaching Certificate and/or FETAC award

The more substantial courses range from 3, 6 and 9 months  and you can receive a FETAC award and/or a Diploma

My experience is that some of the short – introduction to coaching courses can be anything from self help workshops to accredited certificate courses so please do your research.

What type of course will suit my needs ?

With so much choice on offer its a good idea to decide what it is you need to get from the course.

Once you have an idea what you want – then look at the course duration – what the syllabus covers – what the qualifications are – what you can expect to end up with

There are 3 main benefits from attending Life Coaching Courses

Personal development : Self Awareness, Self Management and Self Control

Up skilling:  Coaching skills, tools and techniques

Career Progression: Professional qualification and transferrable skills to increase employability

What can I expect to pay?

You can expect to find courses prices ranging from €90 to €12,500

The workshops are the cheapest and the designer label qualifications are most expensive

What I suggest is you invest in yourself and your needs.  Is it necessary to pay the higher limits – over €10,000 I dont’ believe so.  You can obtain an excellent qualification for example an Accredited Diploma  for between €2,500 and €3,000.  The majority of professional diplomas carry the same weigh in credibility and business recognition so don’t be sucked in by the labels !!
