Why Coaching Certification?
It’s true to say that when you look through the jobs column in the Sunday paper you don’t see jobs advertised for certified coaches.
However it is important to know that any job that is advertised that involves interpersonal skills whether its front desk or CEO level – the job will require coaching skills and therefore a recognised coaching certification.
There are two ways to obtain a Life Coaching Certificate. Enrol in a class room style OR choose an online coaching certification. The class room style certification tends to focus on practitioner skills whilst the online coaching certification tends to focus on lifestyle and life strategies coaching.
Both Life coaching certifications are very valuable and choosing the right one could directly impact your earning potential.
Be aware that many companies offer Life Coaching Certification but what is their certification process and is it recognised in industry?
There is no doubt that being a certified Life coach brings credibility but what it doesn’t do, is guarantee that you can have the skills, tools and techniques to deliver results.
When choosing a Coaching Certification ensure the following;
- The provider has a proven history that consistently demonstrates success for their graduates
- The Coaching Certification trainers are National Qualification award providers such as FETAC
- There is accreditation that is recognised but nationally and internationally such as LBCAI, AC and/or ICF
